THE THINKING BEHIND IT
A browser should work for you.
Useful features don’t have to come with someone else’s choices attached.
Browsers have accumulated services, integrations and background processes that aren’t always wanted. Minus keeps the capabilities people depend on, with room to decide what belongs in your browser.
That freedom sometimes takes a little setup. Choose your own sync storage, connect an agent if you want one, or keep everything local. The choices stay with you.
LESS IN THE WAY. MORE UNDER YOUR CONTROL.
Room for the way you browse.
01 / EXTENSIONS
Keep the tools. Choose when they run.
A large extension collection can spend resources on tools you only need once a week—or on a single website.
Keep extensions installed, pause the ones you aren’t using, and set domain or URL rules to activate them when a matching page is open. The tools you need everywhere can stay active.

Paused
Installed doesn’t have to mean always running.
02 / LINK VIEW
Let your pages work together.
Link tabs to browse side by side. Bring several tabs into one Link View and switch between them as you work.
Pin a page to keep it visible while you browse other tabs beside it: your notes alongside reference pages, or a product listing beside the individual products.
One workspace. Pages that stay together. Expand ↗
03 / YOUR WORKSPACE
One browser. A layout that fits.
Start with tabs in the title bar, or give your pages a different arrangement. Each built-in layout has its own spacing and proportions, ready to use.
Compare the five tab placements below. Colours, text, buttons and spacing can all be adjusted afterwards.
Title-bar tabs. Tabs and window controls share a row.
Want to change one part of the interface? Pick that browser element directly in Appearance settings. No CSS or configuration files required.
04 / PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
Your tabs, without loading everything.
Return to saved titles and icons while background pages wait to load until you open them. Keep your place without loading the whole session at once.
05 / ASSISTANCE, IF YOU WANT IT
Your choice of agent. Your choice to use one.
Connect a supported agent to chat alongside the page and carry out browser tasks. Assistance is optional, no model is bundled, and ordinary browsing needs no agent connection.
YOUR DATA. YOUR STORAGE.
A browser profile. Not another account.
Your bookmarks, history and settings stay on your computer. There is no Minus account to create and no Minus sync server to depend on.
Optional sync lets you choose supported storage, including Google Drive, Dropbox and pCloud. You choose the profiles and categories to transfer.
Use the browser without connecting a cloud account.
02
Connect on your terms
Sign in directly with your chosen provider. Minus doesn’t need your provider password.
03
Choose what travels
Profile sync excludes website passwords, cookies, private browsing data and downloaded file contents.
Cloud sync is still being tested. Provider availability and verification are in progress.
BUILT IN THE OPEN
Taking shape. In plain sight.
Minus is an independent, open-source browser in active development. The current preview runs on Linux. Compatibility and reliability are still being tested; public release downloads are not available yet.
